Digital Course

Change IQ: Foundations for Leading Change in Schools Today

A foundational for course any school leader, regardless of role and title.

A self-paced digital course that introduces change management as a leadership discipline and applies it directly to the realities of K-12 schools.

Drawing on established change management frameworks alongside research in organizational behavior, queuing theory, and systems theory, the course builds the conceptual foundation that makes your leadership during change more intentional, more effective, and far less likely to end in the burnout, resistance, and initiative failure that so many school leaders experience.

The five modules are:

  • The Individual Experience of Change. How your personal patterns shape your leadership during change. Examining the gender, authority, cultural, and generational dimensions of how you lead.
  • The Nature of Change in School Organizations. Why schools as deeply relational and publicly positioned institutions are uniquely complex change environments.
  • Assessing Readiness and Anticipating Risk. Frameworks for evaluating where your organization is ready, where it is overloaded, and where the conditions for change have not yet been built.
  • Leading the Human Side of Change. Reading the full spectrum of human response to change, from those who leap to those who brace, and leading each person where they are.
  • Sustaining and Embedding Change Over Time. Reinforcement, accountability, and the long work of making change stick in the culture of school life.

Pay It Forward Coaching

3% for Emerging Leaders

Leadership development shouldn’t depend on access or funding. Every educator with the courage to lead deserves support. That’s why 3% of our annual net profits to sponsor coaching packages for emerging leaders, including teachers ready to be seen as leaders and school leaders whose districts cannot fully fund professional development.

This initiative is designed to strengthen the leadership pipeline in education. A national teacher shortage becomes a leadership shortage within a decade, and Pay It Forward is one contribution to the work of preventing that.

I was shaped by mentors who saw something in me before I could see it in myself, and Pay It Forward is one way to return what was given to me. Sponsored packages six to ten coaching sessions focused on building awareness, confidence, and strategy for aspiring teacher-leaders.

You Can Help, Too:

If you had a mentor who changed your life, or if you wished someone had invested in you when it would have mattered most, you can join the Pay It Forward network as a mentor, donor, or volunteer coach.

At the Heart of It All

Force Multiplier IQ exists because the people leading schools are doing some of the most consequential work in any sector, and the discipline that would help them do it even better has been missing from their preparation for too long. Bringing change management to the heart of education is not a marketing position. It is the work, and it is the reason this practice exists.

Anna was instrumental in helping me transition from the classroom to an administrative role.

After more than ten years of teaching, the idea of stepping into a new position felt overwhelming, even though I knew I was ready for the next step. Anna supported me at every stage—from navigating tough conversations with families to giving feedback to teachers. She was there whenever I needed her.

As a coach, Anna is clear and direct. She offers feedback that genuinely helps you achieve the results you’re striving for. Her thoughtful, data-driven approach to mentoring comes through in every conversation and every interaction.
